Make Your House a Home

How you decorate your home tells your story.

“We wanted a barn painting for our new home. Vicki found the artist and worked with all of us to achieve the painting of our dreams. Then we trusted her to appropriately frame the painting. It turned out perfectly.”

Sea Fans

It all began in Florida. This client fell in love with these sea fans and knew she wanted to hang them somewhere. When planning for her bathroom remodel she designed her soaking tub area specifically so the sea fans would fit. The eloquent bathroom remodel inspired us with how to frame the fans. Each fan is “floating” (in framing terms) which means the entire edge of the art is showing. The simplicity of the background along with the classic cap frame displays the fans beautifully with all intricacies visible.

Large Collection

It all started with collecting one print. This is actually the Seebeck home staircase. Vicki and Jon started collecting a print each year at an annual national small print exhibit hosted by a local university. Over time, they collected 20 prints. A staircase is a great place to hang a collection, whether art or family photos or travel pictures. Start by hanging your pictures in the middle of the wall and, as you add pieces, the collection expands outward off each side. This not only makes it fun to collect, but lets you continue to add more pieces over time.

Just the Right Accent

This beautiful remodel got new everything. New furniture. New carpet. New paint color. But finding just the right pictures for the walls was becoming a challenge for the clients. Part of the challenge was not quite knowing what to put on the walls. The clients had a picture on their phone of the room. Once Vicki saw it, she offered to bring a variety of art to the site. That was all it took to see what truly fit. And as it seems, sometimes picking art is like picking a puppy. The art picks you. You’ll know when it’s just right.

Game Room Addition

This basement recreational room has a built-in niche. The homeowners had lived with this large empty wall for many years, not quite knowing what to put in the space. Sometimes the right answer doesn’t have to be pictures or groupings. This handcrafted wooden panel made by Jon Seebeck fits the space perfectly. It adds texture and color to the room without being overpowering, and it complements the decorating.

“We were so amazed Vicki found the perfect artwork for our family room! We had been looking for a while after we remodeled, and she was able to incorporate OUR style and colors and pull everything together beautifully. She has such a talent for knowing what would be just the perfect piece. It’s been a blessing working with Seebecks!”
